It is incredible to look back and realize that an entire year has already gone by. All major subjects and more that half of my nine months internship, have already ended.
During my second year, I will carry out my second internship (six months) at the Hubrecht Institute and I will also write my thesis, so I am looking forward to it.
About my current internship I can say that the topic is fascinating, and makes me emphasize every day the passion I feel for cell biology and the good decision I made when I decided to come to this outstanding University. It also keeps me very motivated to look towards a brighter future in my career.
In two months I will be going home for Christmas and I am very excited about the idea of seeing my family and friends, after almost two years of leaving my country. I am very much sure that it will be an awesome experience, nevertheless full of mixed feelings because after so long, Europe has also become “home” and even though there is a part of me that wants to go back, there is another one wants to stay.
Looking forward to enjoy this new academic year.
