Last time we were talking about a brief introduction of myself besides Linguistics. Here it is now.
I come from a small town near east China sea called Shanghai, a truly tiny place and you probably won't hear its name twice in NOS, once in Veronica. It is also my hometown so that's where I was born and probably where I'll die. Not sure about that yet, not decided. Anyway, it is a nice place that everyone should pay a visit to.
Shanghai itself actually grew up not long time ago. She was fed well by kings in Beijing in the late 90s. Yes it is a she because women in Shanghai are quite famous for their capabilities. Often they take the power of the family and function well as both head and neck. They seldom stay at home playing desperative housewives. Instead they prefer living like sex and the city. Maybe just city...Not sure about that. If you go to Shanghai, you will not see one Ugly Betty. Well, maybe two, but that's it. Women in Shanghai do know how to dress themselves properly whatever salary they make.
Shanghai is a city of safety either due to its poor population or due to the strict law. I am not 100% certain but in this city there is no robbery but only stealing. There is no fighting but only quarreling. Walking in the street at night is safe. You will never get insulted because of your gender or skin or choosing not to eat meat.
Shanghai is open and conservative. It operates day by day as the other big cities all over the world, trying to become one of them one day. Because of that, she applied for the 2010 World Expo and won the chance of this exhibition. What about we see each other there? Not unless you find me first. I am quite mysterious quite Wistaria Lane by the way.
