The importance of a family
This last month I have experienced new interesting and fulfilling things. At the beginning of the month I had to leave my room because my contract ended and I found myself in the problem of looking for another room just for one more month, something quite difficult here in Utrecht. Fortunately life is good to us and we are adequately placed were we need to. A couple, who I met in October and lives here in Utrecht, came to my rescue; the man turned out to work in a field very very much related to what I study here, and his wife is a very interesting Tibetan artist. Coincidently they were going to travel for Holidays during this month so they kindly offered me the possibility of staying in their house watching out for anything. It was perfect because I could dedicate the entire month to work on an important university project and use all of the information and books he has. At the end the lady couldn’t go for holidays because of her work and so I had the chance to share some valuable time with her, really experience the way a Dutch family lives, learn about the Indian and Tibetan cultures, and feel like I was back home living with my family. I have to say, even though the experience here has been good, I am missing my family a lot. This was a good time to think about the importance of a family, their love and their support.
