Live a Better Dream.. :)

Being here in Utrecht is absolutely a dream comes true!
Yup!
I've been dreaming about studying in Netherlands since I was a small kid. Anything about Europe always captivates me..
That's why after my bachelor graduation, I was eager to find every opportunity to continue my master in Netherlands.
Fortunately, my friend recommended me just at the right time about Universiteit Utrecht which offers well-known, best-qualified social studies I was looking for.
When I opened UU website for the first time, I knew it is what I dream about.
However..
The journey wasn't easy though, but thanks to UES which makes it possible.. So here I am! :)

Such a relief..
But it hasn't ended that way..
Since my arrival on September, everything is just beyond my expectations.
UU's Conflict Studies and Human Rights is even more satisfying than what I thought before.
This study is really insightful and specific. It offers wider understanding and diverse perspectives on conflict studies and analysis.
Moreover, the lecturers are totally helpful; I love the way they inspire and stimulate us to gain broader, extra-ordinary thoughts. They are always successful to bring us up to meet the challenges.
And friends?
Gosh..I guess I couldn't wish for better classmates than them. They're cooperative and constructive in academic matters as well as fun in social lives. Can't wait for the coming Sinterclass! (Yup, it's "Sinterclass": Sinterklaas in our class :D)

Utrecht itself is undeniably gorgeous, wonderful city.
During my first week here, I got lost for several times, but the interesting thing is I love to get lost in Utrecht..
Yeah it sounds pretty weird, but you'll understand the feeling when in fact you're lost, but then end up in a beautiful site of the city with marvelous trees, old buildings, and canal..
How come you won't be grateful?
And don't forget the fact that you may find a bunch of people who are ready to help you find the safest way..

All I can say is I thank God whole-heartedly for this unforgettable chance..
I mean what else you would say if what you get is even more amazing than what you dream about? :)
Can't wait to explore more and more about living and studying in Utrecht..

  1. Hi Sani,
I am Marlindah, and I have studied in Utrecht School of Law in the year of 2005-2007. Congratulations! you've got the UES, because it shows that you have a certain distinction which made you eligible to get it.
I love to read your comment, as I am always attached to Utrecht Uni and Utrecht city too.
This year I've got a chance to get back in Utrecht again when I was being awarded by STUNED Scholarschip to join the Utrecht Summer School programs July 2009. It was such a wonderful opportunity for me to be there again in Utrecht and met some of my old colleagues who happenned also to be there at the same moment. It was an amazing experience.
To make this comment a bit short, I have to tell you that Utrecht will always makes you feel being embraced and we ourselves, always want to embraced Utrecht in our heart. This city is too lovely to be forgotten.
I hope you also have known that we have a certain Indonesian community in Utrecht which you can join through our mailing list (HMI/PPI Utrecht).
So Sani, good luck with your study and all the best during your stay in Utrecht.

    Best regards,
