Hello again, this time from Nashville, TN.. I’ve been in Nashville now for three weeks and I’m definitely having an American experience.. After being to Boston and NY, Nashville seems to be a totally different city with its neon lighted streets, the honky tonks –country music bars- and its huge roadways.. It’s a bit hard to survive without a car but luckily my classmate and I have friends to ride us to wherever we want. We’ve even made a day trip to Memphis.. That was also interesting, we’ve been both to Graceland and the Civil Rights Museum.. I’m wondering which one represents better the American culture and history.. But of course, just traveling around is not at all what I’m doing.. Actually during the week, I’ve been working on my master thesis project.. I’m still at the starting point where I have to decide the research question and the approach of my project based on the dataset that I will use.. Though I know my interests, it is not always easy to combine it with the content of the data so I have been struggling with that.. But I’m sure it will turn out to be a very ambitious project at the end. I’m looking forward to work on it the whole year.. And I’m so glad that I’ve been to Vanderbilt Uni. By this exchange program because I’m working with an amazing professor who inspired me during the last three weeks.. Anyways, the time passes really fast and there is only one week left already.. Summer exchange is coming to an end.. I really enjoyed being a part of it and glad that I have taken this opportunity.. And that's the nice thing to be an intenrational student in Utrecht I guess, opportunities come to you.. Bye for now.
