Summer Stories

I can't believe it has already been one year since I came to Utrecht. Time has passed very fast, specially the past six months! The holidays have been relaxing, the weather is warm, although a bit rainy, but still very sunny. As Ozge and Sumanth have mentioned in their blogs, finishing last semester has not only hard because of school work, but also because it was time to say goodbye to friends that were leaving Utrecht, and to find a new place to live. Next year, I will be living in the center of Utrecht. It was sad to leave my appartment in the Uithof campus, but I am looking forward to the change of scenery and to living closer to my friends, the market and the cannals. In the meantime, I am trying to improve my Dutch and to start working on my thesis project. September is going to filled with academic activities, but also with social ones since I am going to be "buddy" to a new first year student of my programme and I will also be meeting other Mexican students that are comming to Utrecht University to study Biology and Literature and do a little bit of tour-guiding around Utrecht!
